BEST ENDURO BIKE WHEEL SIZE: 29 OR 279?
The crew over at MBR magazine in the UK wanted to try and find out what the best wheel size is for an enduro bike. They went in search of the answer with two almost identical INTENSE Tracers – our 29 and 279 (mixed wheel) models.
Our 170mm travel Tracer comes in two wheel size options, 29” front and rear, or 29” front and a 27.5” on the rear. With near identical geometry and specs this made the Tracer a really good choice for trying to isolate and identify any differences between the two bikes out on the trail. But what are the pros and cons of each bike? Can you feel the differences between them? And why would you choose one over the other? I mean… which wheel size is best!?
