Intense designer, Jeff Steber doesn’t know to say when. Even when he’s finished working on a frame, and it’s been produced and in stores, Steber keeps it on his mind, making continual improvements and refinements. He’ll tweak the geometry a bit, or improve compatibility for new products. But sometimes goes off in a completely new direction, as in the case with the Carbine 275
 
When we decided to venture forth into 650B territory, Steber quickly figured out that a simple dropout change could morph the incredibly popular Carbine into a carbon fiber 650B (or 27.5) frame.This is possible because of the” G1″ replaceable dropout system on all our frames , offers future compatibility and different axle choices.
 
A few weeks later, new dropout in hand, samples were produced. Frames were dispersed for testing, refinements were made and the Carbine 275 was born. Much more than a conversion but now a dedicated 27.5 frame with proper travel , geometry and aggressive 27.5 trail geometry.
