Intense Cycles announces the return of the Palmer Project and a new roster for 2016.

Created jointly by Shaun Palmer and Intense Cycles as a junior development program in 2015, the Palmer Project enjoyed great success in its first season, producing two National Championships and over a dozen podium finishes.

For 2016, the "junior" requirement has been dropped to allow for a more varied group of riders who show amazing potential but had previously lacked support.

The Palmer Project's 2016 team roster includes returning Palmer Project members, Warren Kniss and Steven Walton, and welcomes new riders Lucas Cowan and Shane Leslie.

Steven Walton will remain in the junior expert category and will follow up on a successful season last year when he took 2nd place at the National Championships (his former teammate Nik Nestoroff, now of Intense Factory Racing, took first).

Steven is joined by Warren Kniss, who took the US National DS title last year wearing Palmer colors and is looking forward to his first year elite.

New to the team are Lucas Cowan and Shane Leslie, both longtime Intense riders who are entering their 2nd year at elite riders.

"Racing is a way of life for me," says program founder, Shaun Palmer. "My whole life has been about racing. I've never had a real job. So I am really stoked to be able to share some of the lessons and experiences I've had with these kids. My goal is to help them ride smarter, be stronger, and become the best competitors they can."

Intense Cycles, Shaun Palmer and all the program sponsors wish the 2016 Palmer Project an amazing season.

The Palmer Project is supported by: Maxxis, Evoc, FLY Racing, Sram, Renthal, Magura, E*Thirteen, DT Swiss, and Intense Cycles.
